Fact-Checking Policy

Fact-Checking Policy

At ReadRight, our commitment to delivering accurate information is paramount. We employ rigorous measures to ensure the precision of our content, striving to maintain the trust and reputation we’ve built with our audience. Our fact-checking policy is designed to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and transparency.

Core Principles:

a) Sceptical Investigation: We approach claims with scepticism, question assumptions, and challenge conventional wisdom in our pursuit of accuracy.

b) Due Accuracy: Our commitment to due accuracy means that the precision of information aligns with the nature of the content, considering its subject and context. Any constraints influencing accuracy are explicitly mentioned.

c) Well-Sourced Content: All our output is well-sourced, based on available evidence, and corroborated. We are transparent about what we know, and we avoid baseless speculation.

d) Integrity in Reporting: Our journalists never engage in deliberate plagiarism, distortion of facts, or manipulation of context, including visual information.

e) Independent Verification: We seek independent verification from sources, especially when dealing with claims, information, or allegations made by public officials or those with an agenda. Unsubstantiated content is attributed accordingly.

f) Accountability: We stand by the accuracy of the information we publish. If proven otherwise, we promptly correct the information, acknowledging and rectifying serious factual errors.

Correction Policies:

While we strive for excellence, acknowledging the inevitability of occasional errors, we are committed to taking responsibility and maintaining transparency.

For Readers: If you spot an error, please contact our Editor-in-Chief, Emilee Wentland, immediately via email at contact@hardtosoft.com with the subject “Correction Needed.” Corrections submitted directly to the Editor-in-Chief guarantee timely investigation.
